TANZANIA WOMEN AND TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE

To mark International Women’s Day, which in 2023 is celebrating the theme DigitALL, - Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality, LP Digital and Women at Web under The Launchpad Tanzania are convening a Tanzania Women and Technology Conference on 7th March 2023.

The conference is aimed at first and foremost being a platform for stakeholders and women to convene, discuss, exchange and learn from one another on any progress, opportunities and challenges on women and technology in Tanzania.

The conference will take place at JNICC facilities in Dar es Salaam for a full day, featuring keynote addresses from respective ministries, panel discussions with stakeholders and development partners.

The conference will consist of a virtual and physical exhibition which will also spotlight organizations, innovative solutions and products aimed at promoting women and technology in Tanzania and designed for and by women.

Women and Technology Conference has so far been powered by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups and The Swedish embassy in Tanzania. More development partners are welcome to partners with us. We also welcome partners for activates one week before the women and technology conference.

The Launchpad Tanzania is an NGO established in 2018 with a mission to contribute to skills development, education reforms and digital inclusion targeting women and youth through capacity building and advocacy programs. The Launchpad Tanzania also has an arm specifically addressing digital inclusion called LP DIGITAL that is currently implementing several programs i.e Mitandao Na Sisi, Dijito na Mimi fellowship and Digital Tanzania.
